My real-life adventure kicked off when the Army decided Germany was a better fit for me than my hometown. Ten years and countless bratwursts later, I came back with a suitcase full of stories and a new outlook on travel.

Navigating Europe? Been there, done that—whether it was by train, a slightly unreliable rental car, or the occasional cruise ship. I’ve zigzagged from the olive groves of Italy to the fjords of Denmark and danced through the streets of Spain.
